City developers remediate brownfields land on West Hunt Club

OTTAWA – A couple of local developers are set to build a new strip mall on West Hunt Club Road across from the Shell Oil Tanks.

The city has approved a plan for Unitrin Developments Ltd. and Triform Development Ltd. to remediate the brownfields land at 280-300 West Hunt Club.

The land is considered to be some of the most contaminated in Ottawa. The city will also offer the developpers a rebate for cleaning up the contaminated land.

Once completed, the plaza will include a Lowe’s hardware store.
