OTTAWA – The Barrhaven woman who got a double-lung transplant on Good Friday, has thanked her supporters.
Hélène Campbell, 20, was back on Twitter Wednesday for the first time since her surgery. She said “thank you” to everyone who’s supported her.
Hélène is the force behind A Lung Story, an online campaign which raises awareness about organ donation.
The double-lung transplant recipient has boosted the organ donation registry, with the help of stars like Ellen DeGeneres and Justin Bieber.
Hélène is still recovering from her transplant surgery in a Toronto hospital.
