City gets one million dollars from OLG

The city is getting just over a million dollars from the Ontario Lottery Corporation…for hosting the OLG slots at Rideau Carleton Raceway.

The announcement comes just weeks after the OLG announced it would not be renewing the lease for the slots at the raceway at the end of next March.

The Sun reports the OLG’s modernization plan is supposed to improve how lottery and gaming is delivered to the residents of Ontario, creating 2300 new industry jobs and 4000 service sector jobs.
