The Dalai Lama in Ottawa this weekend

OTTAWA – The Dalai Lama visits the capital this weekend.

His Holiness spoke at the government Conference Centre Friday at 2 p.m.as part of the 6th World Parliamentarians’ Convention on Tibet.

Other guest speakers included Richard Gere, who is the chair of the international campaign for Tibet.

The Dalai Lama will also speak on Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Civic Centre.

Tickets to that event are 42 dollars and tax.

Stephen Harper is scheduled to meet the popular exiled spiritual leader of tibet in a “private courtesy call” Friday afternoon.
