Five senior managers at OC Transpo fired

OTTAWA – New OC Transpo boss John Manconi has given five senior managers the boot – his first big move since taking on the General Manager role at the end of February.
Those dismissed include Maintenance chief Larry Atkinson, Head of Transit Operations Laurie Blackstone, Public Service Manager Jane Wright, Security Manager Kimberly Weston-Martin and Vincent Patterson from Marketing.
Union President Gary Queale calls the dismissed managers “dead wood” and says they were not “team players.” Acting managers are filling the roles for the time being.
