Second-degree murder charges laid in Pontiac murder

A 19-year-old man has been charged with the murder of an 18-year-old whose naked body was found in a car near Pontiac yesterday morning.

The body of Nicholas Quintal of Aylmer was found in an abandoned car in a wooded area north of Quyon.

Police say the two young men knew each other very well.

Daniel Sempels was arrested yesterday and formally charged this afternoon with second-degree murder.

Sempels is due back in court on June 7.

Results of an autopsy are expected soon.
