Another 24 charges laid against suspect in pants-pulling incidents

OTTAWA – Another 24 charges have been laid against the man charged in a series of sexual assaults across the city in recent weeks.

Between April 14 and May 7, eight women were jumped from behind and had their pants pulled down. Another woman was followed into an Alta Vista area school.

The new charges include seven counts of sexual assault, eight counts each of mischief and breach of probation and one count of criminal harassment.

Gavin Sean Griffiths, 25, is now facing a total of 27 charges and has been remanded in custody until May 15.
