Bomb threat closes two CEGEP campuses

GATINEAU – A bomb threat caused two Cegeps and an adult college in Gatineau to be evacuated Thursday morning.

A man called 911 from a payphone, just before 8 a.m.

Hundreds of students were left standing on the lawns of the campus waiting for the all-clear.

Police, fire and school security staff scoured the buildings to make sure there was no bomb before the all clear was given.

Police said there is a chance the threat is linked to the student protests across the province.

School administration said they’re prepared if any more threats are made.
