OTTAWA, ON.-It’s an exhibit reminiscent of an Andy Warhol piece and it’s for a great cause.
Four teams made up of five participants are creating sculptures out of canned and dry goods as part of CANstruction’s third annual Ottawa Design/Build Competition.
The event aims to put the spotlight on hunger.
The sculptures are made out of thousands of cans of tuna, vegetables and Campbell’s soup. The one with the highest nutritional value even wins bragging rights.
The four sculptures include a sun dial, a bon fire and a giant cheese wheel with a mouse and a camera.
The pieces will be on display at the Canada Science and Technology Museum until June 2nd.
All of the goods will then go to the Ottawa Food Bank.
