Storms expected to hit capital region tonight

OTTAWA – The capital will be in the path of some incoming thunderstorms, Monday, and some of them could be severe.

“Strong winds,  large hail, heavy downpours (are all) a possibility again, especially through the evening hours,” 1310News meteorologist Jill Taylor said.  “If you’re outdoors and you hear thunder, you need to take shelter immediately, preferably inside a house or a strong sturdy structure. A car is also a good option.”

The storms are a possibility after the supper-hour.  No watches or warnings have been issued, yet.
