Parliament Hill reopens after security incident

OTTAWA, Ont. – What was originally thought to be an explosive scare on Parliament Hill, turned out to be a contractor licensed to carry explosives.
There are reports a contractor was stopped at the gate, but was never a threat to security.
The RCMP confirmed to 1310News that a security incident had Parliament Hill under a brief lock down, for about a half hour.
The scene has since been cleared, and the hill has reopened.
