OTTAWA, Ont. – Ottawa’s winter overnight parking restrictions go into effect Thursday night.

There will be no parking on the street between 1 a.m. and 7 a.m. when a snowfall of seven centimetres or more is forecast by Environment Canada.

Vehicles that remain parked on the street during a parking ban will be ticketed and could be fined.

If you have an on-street parking permit from the City of Ottawa, you are exempt from the overnight restrictions.

The restrictions will be in effect from Nov. 15 until Apr. 1, 2012. Click here for more information on parking in the City of Ottawa.
