11,000 public service job cuts

The Harper government says almost 11,000 public service jobs have been cut since it tabled the last budget almost eight months ago.
It says roughly 70 per cent of those jobs were eliminated through attrition.
In the March budget, the government said it wanted to eliminate 19,000 public sector jobs over three years.
The goal was to cut spending by 5.2 billion dollars.
