OTTAWA -Despite having to shutdown operations on Friday, December 21 due to poor weather conditions, Operation Red Nose Ottawa was still able to call the last weekend before Christmas a huge success.
Adam Leclerc, Spokesman for Operation Red Nose Ottawa told 1310News, Saturday night was extremely busy and pushed them over the benchmarks for both drives home and volunteers enrolled.
“We were able to surpass every statistic from last year and we’re pretty proud of that.”
Leclerc added that they have another big stretch coming up when residents will be out celebrating New Year’s and hopes it will help push donations over the $15,000 mark.
Operation Red Nose services Barrhaven, Blackburn Hamlet, Gloucester, Kanata, Nepean, Orleans, Downtown Ottawa, and selected areas in Gatineau.
