Snow-covered roads didn’t stop volunteers with Operation Red Nose from ensuring party-goers got home safely in the Capital this weekend.

126 volunteers gave up their Friday and Saturday night to provide rides home to those who had a little too much festive cheer.

Red Nose answered 45 calls, and got 85 local residents home safely.

Organizers are now focused on New year’s Eve, which is always their busiest night of the campaign.

Volunteers are needed, to find out how you can help, go to 1310news.com.

Operation Red Nose is a free ride home service, but they do accept donations which go to the local boys and girls club.
