Ottawa blanketed with even more snow than expected

OTTAWA, ON – While Environment Canada only predicted 2 – 4cm of snow for Saturday, anyone who was out on area roads will know that it was much more.

Weather Specialist John Wilson, told 1310News, the Capital saw about 10cm of snow throughout the day and evening.

The snow caused plenty of crashes across the region, saw a number of cars in the ditch along the 416 and the 401, and caused a number of delays and cancellations at the airport.

Wilson says, while we may have a break from the snow at least for a few days, we will be feeling the chill with temperatures expected to stay in the double digits below the freezing mark.
