Case against London Mayor put over until late February

The case against London Mayor Joe Fontana has been put over until February 26th.

A member of his legal team made a brief appearance on his behalf at the London Court House today.

The defence asked for the case to be put over for seven weeks while the Crown provides disclosure and the two sides discuss resolution.

Fontana faces charges of fraud under five-thousand dollars, breach of trust by a public official and uttering forged documents.

The charges stem from Fontana’s time as a member of Parliament.
