OTTAWA, Ont. – More flu vaccination clinics are planned for this week in Ottawa to help deal with one of the worst flu seasons in years.
The latest numbers show a total of 281 cases in Ottawa since the start of the season, not including those who stuck it out at home, without seeking help from a medical professional.
The list also shows there have been 33 flu outbreaks in long-term care facilities, a number of hospitalizations because of the virus, as well as five deaths.
Flu clinics are planned at the following locations:
– Thursday, January 17 @ Sir Wilfred Laurier High School in Orleans from 3:30 a.m. – 8:30 p.m.
– Saturday, January 19 @ the City of Ottawa Building on Constellation Dr. in Nepean 8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
A full list of flu clinics in the city can be found here.
You can also get a flu shot at many pharmacies across the region or through your doctor.
