OTTAWA, Ont. – The Ottawa region is expecting a dumping of snow Monday. Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for the capital region and much of southern Ontario.
The forecast is calling for 5 to 10cm of snow starting Monday morning.
1310 meteorologist Harold Hosein said the weather will change to freezing rain late Monday afternoon, followed by rain on Tuesday.
He also warns that driving conditions could be very slippery from late Monday to early Tuesday.
An overnight parking ban is in effect for Ottawa, which means vehicles without parking permits will be ticketed if they are parked on any city street between 1:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m.
