OTTAWA, Ont. – Ottawa couples aren’t just getting “lip locked” this Valentine’s Day; they’re getting padlocked!

No, it’s not what you think.

Couples are choosing a more permanent symbol of love this year by inscribing their names on a padlock and attaching it to a bridge.

Ottawa’s Corkstown Pedestrian Bridge, or Somerset Street Bridge, seems to be the most popular love-lock site, with a few dozen already adorning the rail.
