Easter activities in Ottawa

OTTAWA, Ont. – The Easter long weekend has arrived and there are plenty of activities happening in and around Ottawa and the Valley.

This year’s Easter Sunrise Service on Parliament Hill will be held Sunday at 7:15 a.m., with Gerry Organ speaking. The service is held rain, snow or sunshine.

Easter at the Museum of Civilization is going on all weekend with egg decorating workshops and the golden egg hunt. Programming runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Easter on the Farm is going on all weekend at the Canada Agriculture Museum with a slew of programming including bread making workshops, egg hunts and colouring activities.

Easter at the Bytown Museum will feature an Easter egg hunt in Ottawa’s oldest stone building. Easter at the Bytown Museum runs Saturday to Monday.

Easter weekend celebrations will be held Fulton’s Pancake House from Friday to Monday. There will be face painting, Easter egg hunts and horse drawn rides daily from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Carp Diefenbunker Easter Egg Hunt is going on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Constance Bay Children’s Easter Party is happening Sunday from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.

The Carp Farmers Market Easter Sale is going on Saturday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The North Gower Farmers Market Easter Sale runs Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
