CAA looking to name Ontario’s worst roads

The Canadian Automobile Association wants to know which roads are the worst in Ottawa, and across the province.
Through the entire month of May, you can vote for the road you think is most in need of repair or redesign at worstroads.ca.
Corey Kennedy of CAANEO tells 1310News, the campaign has grown over the last ten years.
“Last year was a record number of votes exceeding ten thousand”.
CAA will compile the long list of roads from across the province and release it later this summer. Kennedy says this isn’t too embarrass municipalities.
“We’re going to take the results and once again encourage the senior levels of government to assist municipalities by providing them with long term sustainable funding”.
Kennedy points out that 90 per cent of the roads on the list are being repaired or are in line for funding. Ottawa has seen the results first hand. After Limebank Road made the list for several years, the city of Ottawa invested $40 million to fix it.
Drivers can vote on the worst road until the end of May.
