Man stabbed in Orleans

ORLEANS, Ont. – A man is fighting for his life in hospital, after he was stabbed at a home in Orleans, Wednesday afternoon.
Police and paramedics were called to a “disturbance” at the single-family detached home, at 298 Fernleaf Crescent, around 1:45 p.m.
According to paramedics, the victim had been stabbed in the neck and didn’t have any vital signs on the way to Montfort Hospital. He was resuscitated and then taken to the Ottawa Hospital’s Civic campus.
The victim of the stabbing has been identified by neighbours as Michael Wassill, 20.
Ottawa Police say a lone male suspect was arrested around 4:15 p.m., Wednesday. Charges are pending.
Neighbours told 1310News, the home where the stabbing occurred has been the scene of many loud parties and that there have been several noise complaints to police.
