Hamilton Police make second arrest in Bosma murder case

HAMILTON, Ont. – Police have made a second arrest in the Tim Bosma murder.

At a news conference Wednesday afternoon, Hamilton Police announced that they have arrested Mark Smich, 25, of Oakville, Ont., an upscale suburb of Toronto.

Police say Smich was the second man who allegedly showed up at Tim Bosma’s house to see his pickup truck. He is scheduled to appear in court tomorrow to face a charge of first-degree murder.

Bosma was killed after taking two men on a test drive of his pickup truck.

Bosma, 32, was last seen on the evening of May 6, and police believe he was killed shortly after that.

Last Tuesday, police announced his remains were located in Waterloo Region “burned beyond recognition.”

Last Wednesday, Dellen Millard, 27, of Etobicoke was charged with first-degree murder as well as forcible confinement and theft over $5,000. His lawyer said Millard, the heir to Millard Air, intends to plead not guilty.
