OTTAWA, Ont. – There will be a public open house at the Shenkman Arts Center in Orleans, to discuss the recommended site for a new interprovincial bridge.
The National Capital Commission has proposed Kettle Island for a new Ottawa-Gatineau bridge that would link the Airport Parkway to Montee Paiement in Gatineau.
The NCC said it’s the most cost-effective location, but the price tag still tops out at over $1-billion. The NCC goes on to say that although they think Kettle Island is the best spot for a bridge, there isn’t an actual development plan.
You can learn more at the open house Monday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. A second session will be held on May 30, 2013 in Gatineau.
