2nd suspect charged in Anthony Smith murder

TORONTO, Ont. –  Toronto police have charged a second man with first-degree murder in connection with the fatal shooting of Anthony Smith.

Smith, 21, died in hospital after he was shot in downtown Toronto on March 28.

Hanad Mohamed, 23, of Toronto, was arrested last week in Fort McMurray, Alta.

In April, a 23-year-old man was also charged with first-degree murder.

Smith’s murder has received extra attention after a photo of Toronto Mayor Rob Ford posing with the victim before his death circulated in the media.
