Elgin, Somerset streets re-open after suspicious package

OTTAWA – All roads have re-opened after a suspicious package shut down two major downtown streets, Thursday.
Ottawa Police closed Elgin Street between Cooper and Somerset, and Somerset between Cartier and Elgin, Thursday afternoon, after a suspicious package was left in the area.
Police told 1310’s Kristy Cameron, a man robbed the TD bank around noon and left a suspicious package behind.
All roads were back open by 2:30 p.m.
