Duffy’s attendance record under scrutiny

OTTAWA, Ont. – Along with improperly claiming housing expenses, it appears Senator Mike Duffy was also a no show for many off the committee meetings he was supposed to attend.
When he was still in the Conservative caucus, Duffy sat on three committees, but according to the CBC, he only attended 55 per cent of the meetings since his appointment to the senate in January 2009.
He’s no longer a part of any committees because he resigned from the party and is now an independent.
While his record at committee is poor, it’s the opposite for sessions in the upper chamber itself. Duffy has near perfect attendance in the Senate.
