Leaked video shows PM’s impressions of Diefenbaker, Clark, Manning

OTTAWA – If Stephen Harper gives up his day job as Prime Minister, he may find himself on stage; he’s already played piano at the NAC and he’s an okay singer. But a leaked video posted on YouTube shows the prime minister doing comedic impressions of former conservative leaders.

The video was apparently shot on election night in 2011, as Harper and his family were on the stage practicing for his speech.

With staffers on the ground, the PM decided to loosen up and have some fun, shaking his cheeks and doing his best version of Prime Minister John Diefenbaker.

Harper goes on to do Joe Clark and Brian Mulroney, before his teenaged son, Ben, asks him to just read the teleprompter. But, getting some good laughs, he continues with Reform Party founder Preston Manning.

The video was posted on YouTube, Tuesday night, by someone with the user name Steve Harper.
