Smog advisory ends for eastern Ontario

OTTAWA – Environment Canada and the Ministry of the Environment have ended the smog advisory for all of eastern Ontario.

The advisory was in place because of smoke from wildfires in northern Quebec.

Air quality improved Wednesday afternoon across the province, as the smoke became less concentrated, which prompted the lifting of the advisory.

Smog advisories were simultaneously lifted in the Toronto area.
