Young boy has foot severed in lawnmower accident

QUEBEC – A three-year-old boy is recovering in hospital after his foot was severed in a lawn mowing accident Wednesday night.
MRC des Collines-de-l’Outaouais were called to a home on Cadieux Street in L’Ange Gardien around 6 p.m., where the boy’s foot had been run over by a riding lawn mower his uncle was driving.
Police say the boy’s father was with him before the accident, and had just set him down to play.
The uncle was not aware the boy was so close. He is also in hospital recovering from severe shock.
