QUYON, Que. – A worker’s arm was severed at the Quyon Ferry, Thursday morning.
The man was one of five workers helping to move the new ferry, when a cable snapped during the move, severing the man’s arm.
The man was taken to hospital in Shawville, but has been transferred to Montreal.
The ferry that was being moved is a cable ferry, which will replace the existing diesel-powered ferry that travels across the Ottawa River, between Quyon, in Quebec and West Carleton.
There were no delays to ferry service, Thursday, as a result of the accident.
