Twelve arrested in Gatineau drug bust

GATINEAU – A major drug bust in the Outaouais Wednesday has left 12 men behind bars.

Officers from Gatineau police, the Sûreté du Québec, RCMP and MRC des Collines de l’Outaouais took part in the raid.

The alleged ring leaders  Martin Lorte, 34, Christian Aubin, 34 and Réynald St. Laurent, 53 were all arrested.

The three men face charges of gangsterism, and all 12 suspects were charged with drug trafficking and drug production.

Police allege Lortie was the head of the group.

Police have seized 200 grams of cocaine, crack cocaine and $30 thousand in cash over the course of the investigation, which began in October 2012.

Investigators say the men had connections to the Hell’s Angels, but weren’t members.
