Sir John Carling building demolished Sunday

OTTAWA – The Sir John Carling building at the edge of the Experimental Farm is no more, as it was brought down by a controlled implosion Sunday morning.

Hundreds of spectators showed up to see the the 11-storey office building fall in mere seconds standing outside a 300 meter exclusion area.

400 kilograms of dynamite, and 3000 charges were used in the explosion.
