OTTAWA – A mini documentary honouring the one-year anniversary of the Barrhaven bus crash, Ottawa’s cycling infrastructure needs, new technology helping disabled patients better communicate and the Ontario wine industry are some of the topics being discussed on Talk to the Hand.
Thursday’s show rundown:
-Colin Busby of the CD Howe Institute talks to Ed about his report which suggests provincial government’s should not invest more in health care to cover the growing costs of long term care.
-Mark Papousek talks to Ed about tonight’s Ottawa RedBlack’s Hot Seat featuring OSEG’S Jeff Hunt at the Kanata Sports Club.
-Bocar Ndiaye, Assistive Technologist at Bruyere Continuing Care’s Saint Vincent Hospital, talks to Ed about new technology which is helping disabled patients better communicate.
-Lorina Naci of Western U talks to Ed about her research which has found patients thought to be unresponsive actually reacted when they were put in front of an Alfred Hitchcock movie.
-1310’s Kristy Cameron and Andrew Pinsent join Ed with their mini documentary on the Barrhaven bus crash which occurred one year ago today.
-Bob McCown of Sportsnet Radio talks to Ed about the Ontario wine industry and his decision to invest in Stoney Ridge Estate Winery.
-Avery Burdett of the Responsible Cycling Coalition talks to Ed about why he feels the city doesn’t need to invest more money in cycling infrastructure.
