Thunderstorm watch issued for Ottawa

Environment Canada has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for Ottawa.
Gatineau, Smiths Falls, Prescott and Russell, Renfrew, and Arnprior are also under the thunderstorm watch.
Environment Canada warns that dangerous thunderstorms are capable of producing damaging wind gusts, large hail and heavy rain.
Very strong wind gusts can damage buildings, down trees and blow large vehicles off the road.
Emergency Management Ontario recommends that you take cover immediately, if threatening weather approaches.
