Guns and Gangs Unit respond to shots fired call

OTTAWA — The Guns and Gangs Unit of Ottawa police was called to the west end Friday afternoon after reports of shots fired.
The call came in to police just after 4 p.m. on Iris Street.
Witnesses said they heard about five or six shots coming from the top floor of the three-story apartment building.
The area surrounding the building was never taped off and witnesses also claimed they didn’t see anyone being arrested or fleeing the scene.
Police remained on the scene for approximately two hours questioning witnesses.
No injuries were reported.
