Sens set opening night roster

The Ottawa Senators announced the 23-player roster that will start the season, Thursday, when the club visits the Nashville Predators.
The roster consists of 14 forwards, seven defencemen and two goalies:
Forwards: Alex Chiasson, Erik Condra, Colin Greening, Mike Hoffman, Curtis Lazar, David Legwand, Clarke MacArthur, Milan Michalek, Chris Neil, Bobby Ryan, Zack Smith, Mark Stone, Kyle Turris and Mika Zibanejad.
Defencemen: Mark Borowiecki, Cody Ceci, Jared Cowen, Eric Gryba, Erik Karlsson, Marc Methot (injured reserve), Chris Phillips and Patrick Wiercioch.
Goaltenders: Craig Anderson and Robin Lehner.
Monday, the Senators assigned five players to their AHL affiliate the Binghamton Senators. Forwards Jean-Gabriel Pageau, Matt Puempel and Buddy Robinson have been sent down, along with defenceman Fredik Claesson and goaltender Scott Greenham.
Forward David Dziurzynski and defencemen Alex Grant and Aaron Johnson have been assigned to Binghamtom after clearing waivers on Monday.
The NHL season starts Wednesday with four games including the Toronto Maple Leafs visiting the Montreal Canadiens.
