Man faces 76 charges in human trafficking investigation

OTTAWA – A four-month human trafficking investigation has led to dozens of charges against a 33-year-old Ottawa man.

Police say they raided three locations Monday, two of which were operating as massage parlours.

They say officers found four female victims and seized $14,000 in cash.

Zhao Liu is charged with 76 human trafficking and prostitution offences related to 17 victims, all of them female.

Police say a woman was also arrested but has been released without charge.
