Man facing impaired, distracted driving charges

OTTAWA – A traffic stop for using a cell phone while driving has ended with impaired driving charges against an Ottawa man.
Police pulled over a vehicle in the westbound lanes of Highway 417, near the Moodie Drive overpass, Wednesday night. The officer saw a driver using a hand-held communication device.
David Lopez Jovel, 32, has been charged with impaired driving and driving while using a handheld device.
He is scheduled to appear in court November 4, 2015.
