South Stormont Man faces attempted murder charges

SOUTH STORMONT TOWNSHIP–A 38-year old South Stormont township man is facing two counts of attempted murder in connection with a Sunday incident;
OPP, the Tactical Unit and the Emergency Response Team responded to a family dispute at a home in the township just before the noon hour on Sunday.
Police say a man had threatened members of his family and a gun had been fired.
No one was hurt.
Charges include attempted murder, uttering death threats, breach of firearms regulations, and careless use of a firearm.
He’s being held ahead of a bail hearing in Cornwall.
Police are not releasing the man’s name to protect the family.
