Christmas hits the Capital

OTTAWA – Christmas is front and center in the nation’s capital on the weekend.

The “Help Santa Toy Parade” jingles through the downtown core on Saturday at 11 a.m.

The parade starts at the National Archives on Wellington St, heads east  towards Bank St, left on Laurier Ave and ends at Ottawa City Hall.

New toys and cash donations will be collected by the Ottawa firefighters along the parade route.

The Barrhaven Santa Parade is an evening event, it goes Sunday at 5:30 p.m. and runs down Strandherd drive.
