Ottawa Police investigate alleged assault on a child during Air Canada flight

OTTAWA — Police are investigating an alleged assault on a child during an Air Canada flight from Montreal to Ottawa.
Airport security contacted police after being alerted to the incident Monday.
Police tell 1310 NEWS there is no indication the assault was sexual in nature. They have not released the age or gender of the child, who was travelling with family.
A police spokesperson says officers will be speaking to people who were on the plane to determine what happened.
He also says it’s his understanding there were no serious injuries reported.
At this point, no arrests have been made.
