Police probe shooting in Gloucester

OTTAWA – The guns and gangs unit is on the hunt for suspects after a shooting in Gloucester Sunday night.

Crews were called to the 2000 block of Arrowsmith Drive around 9:30 p.m., where a 23-year-old man had been shot in the upper and lower body, the 43rd shooting in Ottawa in 2015.

Arrowsmith Drive is located right off Jasmine Crescent, near Montreal Road and Highway 174 — a neighbourhood that has already seen the separate murders of two teenagers, this year.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 613-236-1222 extension 3566, or the guns and gangs unit at extension 5050.
