Man maced on OC Transpo bus following altercation

OTTAWA – Police are looking to identify a man who maced another passenger while riding a city bus.

Around 12:40 p.m. on Wednesday, two men got into a verbal confrontation while riding an OC Transpo bus on Slater Street, near Bank Street. According to police, the alleged suspect sprayed the victim in the face, before fleeing the bus with a woman.

Male suspect description:

-Caucasian
-dirty blond/brown hair
-around 22-years-old
-5’4″ tall
-160 lbs.
-crooked teeth
-thin build
-red flat beak snapback hat
-red hoodie
-dark grey sweatpants
-some acne
-no facial hair
-carrying an old black and blue gym bag

Description of woman:

-Caucasian
-around 22-years-old
-reddish-brown hair in a ponytail
-chubby in stature
-black sunglasses with a blue and yellow design on the side
-black jacket

Several uninvolved passengers were also affected by the spray, and treated on scene, but none were taken to hospital.

Police want to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident, or who has information relating on the suspect or the woman he was seen with.
