OTTAWA – A tentative deal has been reached between the City of Ottawa and the union representing OC Transpo employees.
The Amalgamated Transit Union Local 279, which represents approximately 2,300 members, has struck a deal on a new collective agreement.
Details of the agreement won’t be released until both sides have voted on it, but does mean the anticipated launch of LRT in the spring of 2018 should go ahead with no labour issues.
The current contract is scheduled to expire March 31.
