Ottawa beaches now open

OTTAWA – Beach season has begun!

As heat warnings continue for Ottawa, four beaches across the city have officially opened for the season.

Lifeguards will be staffing the beaches at Britannia, Mooney’s Bay, Petrie Island and Westboro from 12 p.m. until 7 p.m., seven days a week, until August 28.

Washrooms and rentals are available at Mooney’s Bay, Petrie Island and Britannia until September 5, Monday to Thursday from 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday to Sunday from 10:30 a.m. until 7 p.m.
