OTTAWA – A lemonade stand has been shut down by the National Capital Commission over the weekend because the girls operating it didn’t have a commercial permit.
Two girls, aged five and seven, went with their dad to Colonel By Drive to sell lemonade, Sunday. After selling the drink for about two hours, an NCC officer told them they had to leave the property because they didn’t have a permit.
Commercial permits are required to sell items on NCC lands.
The story is causing a wave of reaction online, across the country.
