OTTAWA — Power was restored to thousands of Hydro Ottawa customers across the city after it was knocked out when a thunderstorm blew across the region, Saturday morning.
At its height, electricity was knocked out to more than 2,000 customers in the downtown in the Elgin, Gladstone, Mcleod, and Delaware area and in the west end in the Terry Fox, Fernbank and Robert Grant area in Stittsville and customers in the Quinpool, Cherrywood and Laurentide area, after a tree hit a power line.
Electricity was back up for all customers by Saturday night.
