Police still looking for tips into Michael Morlang hit and run death

OTTAWA – It’s been three years since Michael Morlang was struck and killed while walking home in the east end, and police continue to look for tips into what happened.

A reward of $25,000 is still being offered for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of whoever is responsible for the death.

Morlang was struck and killed while walking on Frank Kenney Road around 5 a.m. on August 11, 2013.

Investigators believe the vehicle they’re looking for is a GM with dark red or burgundy paint that was used in 1997 and 1998, and again from 2003 to 2010.

They say it’s possible that vehicle has been repaired at a local garage or body shop in the time since the hit and run.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 613-236-1222, ext. 2481 or Crime Stoppers toll-free at 1-800-222-8477(TIPS) or by downloading the Ottawa Police app.
